This issue may be related to having the correct speaker or microphone selected in your Audio options in the Windows® operating system. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Click Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices
  3. Click on the Audio tab at the top of the window
  4. Make sure that your Sound Playback and Sound Recording default devices are both switched to your SpeechMike, click OK
