You can now connect to GearFTP through a FTP secure connection (FTPES).
Quick Guide To Connect To GearFTP
1.1 How To Connect
- In the address bar of your internet browser type in http://myftp.transcriptiongear.com and press enter.
- Once this page loads click on the connect button towards the bottom of the page.
- After clicking on this a new window will pop up prompting you for the Username and Password.
- Once a connection has been established, the remote directory listing will be loaded with the files and directories from your FTP server.
1.2 Minimum System Requirements
The minimum system requirements for using GearFTP are as follows:
- Operating Systems: Windows 98/2000/XP/ME/Vista/Windows 7, Mac OS 8.x, 9.x, 10.x, Linux, Unix
- Browser: Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Opera. Mozilla, Safari, Firefox
- Browser Java VM: Java 1.1 or above
- FTP server (must be accessible from your machine)

You can also connect to ftp.transcriptiongear.com with an FTPS connection with GearXport.
To do this, follow the below instructions to modify an existing GearXport rule:
- Bring GearXport up on your screen.
- Click stop process if it isn’t already stopped.
- Click launch wizard.
- Select your existing FTP rule that you wish to modify and click on edit rule.
- Click on edit transfer options.
- Check the box for use secure file transfer protocol.
- Then click ok three times to return the main GearXport screen saving your changes
