If GearPlayer™ will not move files to the archive list then first ensure you are playing files through to the end. If files are not playing all the way to the end then you may need to enable the option called display end of audio file warning. This option can be found under options and the player and graphical options tab.  When this is enabled you will be prompted if you want to move a file anyways when completing a file that is not at the end.

Also check to ensure that the work list and archive list are not set to monitor the same folder. They should also not be subfolders of each other.  This can cause a situation where the files will not actually clear from the work list when attempting to complete the file.

You must also have the correct permissions to the folder where you are trying to move the files to. On most operating systems you can navigate to where the actual folder is on your computer, right click on the folder, choose properties, and then select the security tab. From this section you will need to add full control for the users group.

Also ensure the path to the archive directory is still valid. If a folder has been renamed or removed this would prevent you from being able to move the files to that directory.

If completing files to a network folder ensure that you have access to that specific network location and that you have proper permissions to create files in that network directory. Check to make sure that the path to the folder has not change. To verify this you can open the network folder and compare the path in the address bar to the path you have set in GearPlayer. You can also just open the options in GearPlayer, go to the general path and file definitions tab, then select the browse button to the right of the archive directory and browse back to your archive folder. This would ensure that your current directory path is correct.
