To add keywords to a DPM in SpeechExec:

  1. Open your Philips SpeechExec application.
  2. Connect the DPM to your computer. You should see the DPM recognized in the bottom left corner under DPM Devices.
  3. Click Settings > General Settings.
  4. Click DPM/DT Configuration.
  5. Click DPM settings.
  6. Click Start Configuration under the Advanced DPM Device Configuration section.
  7. Click Keyword Definitions.  The first column will normally be labeled Author.
  8. Enter your author names in the content boxes.  Enter one name per box only. If you would rather sort by Work Type enter your work type values into the appropriate column.
  9. After you have finished entering your keywords press the Transfer Keywords button.

If you wish to make a keyword prompt mandatory so that the user is forced to make a selection for that keyword click Keyword Options**. (Note:  turning this on forces the user to make a selection each time they make a new file.)

  1. Check Mandatory in the column of the keyword you want to force the user to make a selection for.
  2. Click Ok.
  3. Choose Yes to update settings on the device.
  4. Click Ok to close out of “General Settings”.

**If you do not wish to make the prompts mandatory, click Ok>Yes to Update Changes>Ok to return to the main screen.
