Favorite Digital Voice Recorder - 12-12-2011
Easy to learn with its slide switch. It was very familiar to my tape dictaphone. The screen is also very big and easy to read which is good in my old age (haha). I'd highly recommend it and have to other professionals who find the need to dictate.

9600 after 1 month - 11-18-2011
I have used the Phillips 9600 for about a month now and overall it is a great unit. I really like the side slide switch which reminds me of the hospital dictators I have used over the years and the mic does a good job of blocking out background sounds. Initially I was quite frustrated with the software interface that was included as it was MUCH less inituitive to set up than my previous Sony unit. But if you use this site's help menu re: the 9600 which I discovered three hours of tearing my hair out......you will be able to configure it and then you will be on your way and I think pleased. The unit feels solid and the charging stand does as well and is weighted so it stays put on your desk. I will report in 10 months from now and we'll see if it stands up to continual hard use.
