• GearPlayer ENCRYPTION Files that are encrypted cannot be opened unless the software has the “key.” Just like a safety deposit box in a bank, you cannot open it unless you have a key to the box, and no one else can unless they have the same key. If you receive a file that is encrypted, the sending party must send you the key as well, so GearPlayer can play the file. This process is very useful for protecting sensitive data like medical dictation or legal dictation

GearPlayer installs easily on Windows98SE, NT, Windows ME, 2000, XP or Windows Vista PCs with a SoundBlaster Compatible sound card and available COM port. Once installed and quickly configured you can begin downloading dictation files from other PCs, a network server or an FTP site.

The GearPlayer Full Console Mode display will indicate file name, file size, play progress and time in job. A simple mouse click or keyboard shortcut allows for volume, tone and speed control changes.

In Slim Console mode can be easily situated in a visible place in your word processor menu while still providing convenient view to the smaller display and control buttons. GearPlayer™ can also be made invisible by minimizing to the system task bar while still providing keyboard short cuts to every function.

A Session Report details all of your efforts in a printable output while the File Manager moves completed dictation to a designated file and sends the typed document to another directory or network server.
