This digital starter kit includes GearPlayer, a software based transcriber,
a Philips DPM 9610 digital voice recorder and automatic encryption software
for HIPAA Readiness. The author simply dictates into the professional-grade
Philips digital recorder and when complete, he or she simply “docks” the
voice recorder at his or her PC for automatic offload (included). The
electronic recordings are then automatically offloaded, encrypted utilizing
a 128-bit unique key encryption process and either emailed or sent via
FTP to their destination.
Once the files are transferred to the transcriptionist, GearXport, will
automatically download them via an FTP site and prepare them for playback
with GearPlayer. If you receive the dictations via email, simply
save the attached audio files in a specific folder that GearXport will
watch and GearXport will prepare them for playback. Then simply open
and play them with GearPlayer. Loading files into GearPlayer is simple
and easy. Either let GearPlayer load them via a work list, or simply
drag the audio file and drop it on top of the GearPlayer window. In
just seconds you’re ready to begin transcribing.
GearPlayer is a powerful application providing you with all the professional
functionality you would expect to find in a high-end transcriber. Speed
and volume controls along with headset and foot control support, a full-featured
work list, file demographic window and mobile licensing technology make
this one of the most versatile PC based transcription solutions available.
The author will love the simplicity and power of the Philips 9610 digital
voice recorder. It features a familiar 4-position slide switch, massive
backlit LC-Display, a 100% metal body construction for rugged durability
along with priority indexing and 4X20 keywords for file demographics. Many
authors choose not to use file demographics because of the poor interface
they are given to enter them…not anymore. Philips has built
an intuitive way to enter keywords called Voice Command. Simply speak
the demographics and the DPM (Digital Pocket Memo) automatically inserts
the correct data such as patient ID, worktype and more.
After the dictations are created and typed in any application you prefer,
simply return them via email as an attachment, push them back to an FTP site,
print them out for hand delivery, or fax them. The preference is yours. GearXport
can automate returning the documents encrypted for HIPAA Readiness via FTP
or email. The authors GearXport can even download the completed work,
decrypt them and print them if needed. GearXport automates the entire
workflow process making moving the dictation and transcribed documents around
the network and internet very simple. |
