These instructions will walk you through removing the AMD USB Filter Driver that prevents your SmartDongle™ from working on a Windows 7 or Vista 64 bit system. This conflict results in the HASP key showing an Error code 10 in the device manager.
Images that appear after the instructions will help guide you through the process.
- Click Start

- Click Control Panel (a new window should appear.) Click "Uninstall a program" (the Programs and Features window should appear.)

- Select "ATI Catalyst Install Manager" from the list, and click the "Change" button at the top of the list.
***IMPORTANT*** If you see AMD USB Audio Filter in this list instead, select it and press "Remove" and you are finished with this guide.
- On the "ATI Catalyst Install Manager - InstallShield Wizard" window click the "Next" button

- Verify that the radio button beside the entry labeled "Uninstall Manager" is selected and click "Next." If a security dialog appears click "Yes" to continue.

- A new window showing "Welcome" at the top may appear. Click "Next" to continue.

- The window should show "Uninstall" at the top. Click the radio button next to "Custom"; a black dot will appear. Click "Next" to continue.

- The window should now show "Customize Uninstall" at the top of the screen. Check the box labeled "AMD USB Filter Driver" in the list and click "Next" to continue.

- The window should now show "Uninstalling Components". Please be patient while the process finishes.

- The window should show "Finished" at the top. Click the "Finish" button at the bottom. A new window should appear. Click "Finish" and you are done!
