The Voice Tracker™ USB is a professional grade microphone, which fits unobtrusively under a computer monitor, or on a shelf or table and connects to your sound card via the a USB port. It's unique technology locates a talker, and electronically steers a "listening beam", like an acoustic searchlight, in that direction. This creates spatial filtering; sounds from other parts of the room are not picked up. The Voice Tracker's noise reduction, coupled with increased sensitivity are utilized continuously and constructively, giving The Voice Tracker™ outstanding range and sound quality. The patented array microphone technology improves sound fidelity and signal to noise performance.
The Voice Tracker™ USB is ideal for long range, or hands free recording, since it can scan a full 180 degrees. It can also steer from one talker to the next in a few milliseconds, with a recording range of 20+ feet. The Voice Tracker™ is certified by Nuance for use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The Voice Tracker can be connected to a PC or Macintosh through the sound card, or through the USB port (with an optional USB adapter).

- For speech recognition applications, it is no longer necessary to sit rigidly in front of the microphone. The user is free to lean backwards, sideways, or even move around.

Headset-Like Performance - The Voice Tracker™ Array Microphone improves signal-to-noise ratios in two ways. First, its digital signal processor creates a listening beam (like a searchlight) that focuses on the talker and spatially filters noise from other directions. Second, its proprietary noise reduction algorithms filter out background noise and reverberations that are present in the acoustic environment.

Suppresses Interfering Sounds - The Voice Tracker™ Array Microphone is also the only array microphone to employ Location Dependent Squelch (LDS™, Patent Pending) which de-sensitizes the microphone to sounds coming from pre-selected directions. Consequently, the array can reduce unwanted sounds coming from directions outside its field of view.
