Olympus AS-2400 Transcription kit
Easy to install and use, and does a good job. However, it has several capabilities, such as marking the point in transcription, that are not available. I have an I-Mac, and I just can’t get the index marker to work. Olympus is working with me on getting those capabilities working, but so far they don’t.
This means that whenever I take a break, I have to write down where I am in the interview I’m transcribing, because when I shut down the computer, the transcriber goes back to zero when I start up again.
The kit came with a manual for installing and starting up, which was simple to use and understand, but there was no manual for actually using the transcriber…and repeated requests have fallen on deaf ears.
