Tie Clip Microphone TCM-50B ($19.95)

It's always difficult to purchase items online - sight unseen. I couldn't be more impressed with this item! I plugged it into my recorder, recorded a brief msg., and, to my utter amazement this little mic recorded my msg and there was no background noise, no static, nothing to interfere with my recorded voice msg. Now, I am able to record the entire conversation without losing one half of it; easily concealed as well. More than worth the price.

The Philips DPM8000 is a fantastic dictation machine. It might look overpriced, but we had only 2 alternative for our medical office: either the Ds7000 by Olympus or the Philips DPM8000. Both on par and both worth the consideration for a medical office that follows HIPPA regulations and requires Ds2 secured encrypted interphase built in. Currently the DPM is slightly higher rated, but then in a year or so the Olympus next recorder might take the lead. We had the machine for about 1 month and I could not be happier. We see about 350- 400 patients/ week and need a professional tool that is well made, has a 120Hrs of dictation time or more and an insert option, to allow to add the X rays we took or Bone Density report etc. into our reports. Eric from sales and Eric from VIP Technical Service have been phenomenal individuals to work with, justifying the price tag and the fact "you get what you pay for".

This is my 3rd set. I transcribe at several locations so have a set at each one, plus a spare. This headset is very comfortable and lightweight. The sound is clear and crisp. This particular set comes with everything you need to get the best for the money. Being a transcriptionist for well over 20 years, I have worn many style headsets and nothing has even compared to these, not even the styles priced 4X over these. I highly recommend. Also, Transcription Gear is a great Company to work with. Delivery is prompt, prices are competitive, they have a great selection to choose from, and their Customer Service is top notch. I wouldn't look anywhere else!

I've been doing transcription for more years than I would like to remember and this is the best headset I have ever used! The price is very reasonable and they are light and comfortable, as well. In a word... wonderful!! I would recommend this headset to anyone who has to transcribe for long periods of time.
