True Stereo Audio Recording

The low-noise, directional stereo microphones come with a 90° layout delivers a superb stereo feeling allowing you to feel even the smallest details of the meeting.  Regardless of where the person speaking is located or the direction of speech, you can clearly and accurately capture the information.

Automated Audio Adjustment

To make listening to your recordings more comfortable, the Intelligent Auto Mode automatically adjusts the recording level to match the volume of the audio source.  When someone is talking very loudly, the recorder automatically reduces the input level and for soft voices, the recorder automatically increases the input level to always provide an even level of volume.

Noise Cancellation

For clearer playback in noisy environments, the noise cancellation feature powerfully reduces unwanted ambient sounds for crisper, clearer playback quality.

Normalization

For quiet recordings, Normalization can be selected to increase the audio volume while maintaining quality and avoiding distortion.  Even dialog that is hard to understand or spoken at low volumes can be processed in the recorder itself without the need for additional PC software, and can be saved as a file with volume levels that are easy to hear.

Designed For Beginners and Experts

With two different display modes, you can use your voice recorder whether you’re new to dictation or a seasoned expert.  Simple Mode displays only the essential information in large font and trims the menu options to frequently-used functions. For advanced users, enable Normal Mode to enjoy the full functionality of all menu options as they are available.

Easiest Way to Save Data

Save data easily and conveniently with the built-in USB connector.  Simply connect your WS-883 to your PC or Mac to transfer voice recordings from the device to an external hard disk drive. You can also use it like a USB flash drive to share documents.  For the WS-883, the USB connector has an additional internal battery charging function to always keep your recorder ready for when you need it.
